Dot to Dot Festival Marks a Decade of Championing New Music

Following a stand out set at last year’s festival, headlining this year will be Saint Raymond, Nottingham’s latest success story. It’s been an incredible year for the singer-songwriter, which has seen him embark on an arena tour with Ed Sheeran – who played Dot to Dot himself back in 2011; critically acclaimed singer songwriter Rae Morris, Irish pop folk duo Hudson Taylor, Brighton surf-psych three piece The Wytches and many, many more innovative, ground-breaking artists.

With a reputation for unearthing the hottest new talent around, Dot to Dot is all about bringing the best new music to some of the most forward-thinking venues in Manchester, Bristol and Nottingham. BBC Sound Of 2015 Poll winners Years and Years and The Brits Critics Choice Winner 2015 James Bay were to be found playing afternoon slots at Dot To Dot in 2014.

Testament to its taste-making credentials, the list of names that have played our award-winning metropolitan festival before they became international stars is impressive. Seminal Dot To Dot moments include sets from Foals, The xx, Beach House, The Cribs, Klaxons, SBTRKT, Laura Marling and Disclosure as the festival introduced the acts during the early days of their musical journey.

Anton Lockwood, our director of promotions, said: “As a promoter, we put on over 1,200 shows nationally from 200 capacity rooms to arena tours, the biggest being Wembley at 80,000 each night. Many of these artists have played Dot to Dot over the last 10 years. Often Dot to Dot is the biggest show an artist has played at that stage, and many artists talk about it being a pivotal moment in their live careers.

“Nottingham, Manchester and Bristol have musically receptive audiences as well as loads of great venues in close proximity. As DHP Family already has a strong presence in promoting concerts in this cities, as well as owning several venues, we’re able to put together a great offer for artists and the festival goer. ”
