Dot To Dot Festival announces 3rd wave of artists joining Jockstrap, Wunderhouse and more!

Dot To Dot Festival have released the third wave of artists for this year’s line up with 28 new names set to head to stages on the May bank holiday weekend. The artists include LEN, SAYA GRAY & recently announced CHARLOTTE PLANK set to join festival headliners JOCKSTRAP & WUNDERHORSE alongside the likes of THE MAGIC GANG, ANTONY SZMIEREK, THE BUG CLUB, HOVVDY, INFINITY SONG, JGRREY, PANIC SHACK, PICTURE PARLOUR and tonnes more. A huge list of local talent is still yet to be announced to join these touring artists for the multi-city event taking place in Bristol and Nottingham on 25th and 26th May respectively.

Art-pop musician, visual artist and designer SAYA GRAY is amongst those announced. Creating music that captivates the soul, the Toronto raised, Japanese-Scottish artist burst onto the scene in 2020 with her debut single ‘SHALL (PPL SWIM IN SHALLOW WATER)’ following it up with her debut release ‘QWERTY’ and her recently released second album ‘QWERTY II’. Her arresting voice and poetic songwriting pair beautifully atop her intimate and vibrant soundscapes that blend the worlds of folk, rock, pop and everything else in between.

Stockwell-born rapper LEN also joins the list of acts for the metropolitan festival. Developing a cult-like following and infesting the underground scene, LEN has cultivated his own audience since surfacing on Soundcloud in 2017, instantly gaining attention from nationwide audiences. His standout single ‘ADDICTION’ garnered attention from the likes of Dave, IAMDDB and Lancey Foux, and his previous collaborations include the likes of Sam Wise and D2D alumni ayrtn.

CHARLOTTE PLANK was also recently added to Dot To Dot’s 2024 list of names. The singer, writer and producer has released a string of her own poppy drum & bass anthems and collaborated with scene legends Rudimental. She’s also joined them onstage at festivals like Parklife, Glastonbury and BBC Radio One’s Big Weekend, alongside further collaborations with Hybrid Minds, Skepsis, Turno & many more.

Inspired by the lineage of boldly experimental bands that emerged out of wales in the 80s, Welsh-language indie-rockers ADWAITH will take to D2D stages. Dublin newcomer ANNIE-DOG also heads to Bristol and Nottingham, her material delving into the shapeshifting pop landscape, incorporating influences of Grimes and Pinkpantheress within her own sublime self-production. London-four piece featuring Liam Gallagher’s son Lennon Gallagher, AUTOMATION will bring their post-rock to D2D, and carrying a perfume of Americana, country pop and indie folk BLUAI will embark festival attendees on a road trip through the sonic landscapes where Big Thief, Pinegrove, Haim and Alabama Shakes reside.

Spoken word post punk Sheffield band CITY PARKING will take to stages, along with London band DAYDREAMERS, who are set to bring their hazy summer guitar pop sound and songs made for festival sunsets. DOMINIC WRIGHT is set to deliver his infectious bedroom-pop in the tradition of Alex G, Beabadoobee and ‘Bags’-era Clairo, and set to be one of the most exciting new performers and songwriters from the UK & Irish scene, DOVE ELLIS will bring his incredibly raw, heartfelt and honest tracks to Bristol and Nottingham’s city centre venues.

EXPIRY will take to D2D stages, and after recently supporting Coldplay on their Music of Spheres world tour and musician Tom Grennan, HANA LILI joins the bill, along with 4-piece alt-rock band KEO. Making transfixing and poetic dance music that’s suffused with the sounds of people and place: field recordings of London life, birdsong from the city’s vibrant green spaces and nightclub conversations that fade like embers, UK producer LOVE REMAIN will be performing DJ sets in both Bristol and Nottingham for D2D, and making his bold entrance onto the scene with his propulsive indie rock and alternative pop anthems MAXWELL VAREY joins those performing.

Born out of obsessions with storytelling, songwriting, cinema and fashion MAUVEY joins the stacked lineup. Bristol singer-songwriter MITCH SANDERS is within the names added, along with Liverpool collective MONKS, who are set to bring their dynamic force of alternative guitar and ethereal rock vibes. Gathering inspiration from 60s and 70s soul greats across to Atlantic to modern R&B and Jazz, MT JONES heads to the festival, and dream pop band NIGHT SWIMMING will bring sounds that are atmospheric in nature, and revel in their exploration of ‘the dark nuances of the human experience’.

Melbourne sensations RADIO FREE ALICE will bring their Talking Heads, The Cure, The Smiths influenced sounds to Dot To Dot Festival stages and referred to as ‘one for fans of Alt-J and The xx’ by NME when selected in their NME 100, rEDOLENT join this year’s lineup. LA based musician RUNNNER brings his homecrafted sounds, using anything and everything from cell phones and handheld tape records, voicemails from friends and more to D2D 2024, alongside Dublin alt rock three-piece SEARCH RESULTS. Irish quintet SOFT LAUNCH are now set to perform, as well as psych rock shoegazers SULK, and fusing inspiration from various backgrounds of choral, post-rock and the staples of the 60s and 70s UGLY will take to stages. And the final addition within this wave 3 announcement, displaying an innate ability to translate a primitive spirit into a modern form YHWH NAILGUN finish the wave 3 bill, with more set to be released.

Previously announced Mercury nominated headliners JOCKSTRAP return higher up the bill following their 2022 performances at the festival, continuing D2D’s tradition of making a platform for the hottest emerging talent, alongside second stage headliners and D2D 2021 alumni WUNDERHORSE returning following their recent trajectory which has seen the band touring with the likes of Fontaines D.C, Pixies, Sam Fender and Foals. THE MAGIC GANG are also amongst those previously announced, set to join this year’s lineup for their celebratory farewell tour, as they announce they are to separate after more than a decade together.
