Dot To Dot has won Best Metropolitan Festival at the UK Festival Awards underlining the festival’s reputation for new music discovery across its two city editions.
Dot To Dot is part of DHP Family’s expanding festival portfolio, which all contributed to the live music company also taking home Festival Promoter of the Year at this week’s industry awards.
It comes in a year when the Nottingham based company has expanded its festival portfolio to include Bearded Theory; Catton Park, Derbyshire along with the long-running Splendour in the city’s Wollaton Park and charity fundraiser Beat the Streets. 2023 has been a year of significant growth for DHP Family as a festival promoter with a total of seven festivals delivered by a tight-knit team of around 25 people, programming more than 330 artists over 50 stages.

One of the UK’s first metropolitan festivals, Dot To Dot has firmly established itself for presenting exciting new artists with previous editions featuring a jaw-dropping roll call – The 1975, Ed Sheeran, Dua Lipa, Foals, Wolf Alice, Lewis Capaldi, Catfish and the Bottlemen, The xx, Caribou, Sports Team, Squid, Friendly Fires, The Horrors, SBTKRT, Mumford and Sons, Florence + The Machine, Yard Act and Alvvays to name but a few that have since gone on to play to much bigger audiences.
The festival has just announced the first artists for 2024, with Jockstrap to top the bill. The pop duo make their return to Dot To Dot following a hugely successful few years, including a Mercury nomination. A diverse selection of 15 artists has also been announced in the first wave continuing the festival’s rich tradition of creating a platform for some of the most promising artists in their early stage careers.

Now the company is hoping to continue its run of success at the Live Awards with the chance to win a second National Promoter of The Year gong, while two of its venues – Rescue Rooms in Nottingham and Thekla in Bristol – are in running for the Grassroots Champion, with Splendour up for the Major Festival alongside some giants of the scene. Set up to recognise excellence in the £4.5bn live music industry, the LIVE Awards winners will be announced on 12 December.
