DHP Family is a multi-award winning live music promoter with over 30 years experience in the industry. Ever expanding and highly ambitious; we have expertise in all key areas of the business including: concerts, festivals, venue management, ticketing, and artist management.

The Role

We are building a pool of freelance Designers to call upon at certain times of the year to meet the growing demands of the concerts business. Designers will be selected on their availability and suitability for the project/s.

Working within the marketing department, you will work for and with promoters, creating tour and individual adverts and posters for bands whilst maintaining the quality of our design output. The role will involve creating for print, specifically for newspaper and magazines.

The ideal candidate should be capable, be able to time manage various projects at once and be able to work to tight deadlines.

Hours & Location

Please note that this role is not a fixed term contract, permanent or part-time, however we are seeking a talented individual to work with us on a casual freelance basis ‘as and when’ the business requires the additional support.  As such set hours and days are not set and the work available may fluctuate month to month from days to two or three weeks of additional support.

Ideally you will be based at the company head office which is located in Nottingham City Centre in the Lace Market area. However, we will consider designers wishing to work remotely.

Salary will be at a rate of £11.40 per hour.

Responsibilities

  • Creating tour and individual adverts for magazines & newspapers, having knowledge of printing processes and preparing artwork for printing.
  • Creating band posters, tour and individual, within the DHP branding guidelines but also with scope to be more individual & creative where requested.
  • Ensuring quality and consistency of the finished product, through design, layout, typography and compliance to existing brand guidelines.
  •  Ability to balance numerous projects simultaneously and under pressure, meeting tight deadlines with enthusiasm and efficiency.
  • Supporting our Marketing team with production and reinterpretation of required
  • Other DHP marketing & design tasks, within reason.

Essential

• Solid working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)

• Commitment to accuracy and the quality of work produced, with an exceptional eye for detail.

• Creative approach to problem solving

• An excellent and varied portfolio that demonstrates both online and print knowledge.

Desirable

  • Some knowledge of Dreamweaver, Flash, HTML and CSS would be advantageous
  • Knowledge of printing processes and preparing artwork for printing
  • A love of live music and knowledge of DHP and the music industry.
