New Late Night Music Pub for Islington Launched

The Grace is a pub with an upstairs live music space located directly opposite Highbury and Islington tube station. Set to continue in the tradition of London’s landmark live music pubs that are institutions in their own right, The Grace will be one of the only late night bars offering live music in the area.

Opening Friday 13 September, the two-floor venue features a laid-back intimate pub serving draught lager on the ground floor accessed from Highbury Corner with a 150-capacity live music space upstairs to host upcoming and emerging artists.

Housed in a space that originally opened as Upstairs At The Garage, the location already boasts an impressive music pedigree with the likes of Jeff Buckley, The Killers, Sheryl Crow, Mogwai and Grimes just some of those who have played there in its former life.

Alongside gigs and fun late night parties upstairs, illuminated by over 50 disco balls, a full programme of comedy, quizzes and talks will be on offer in the pub, along with bar snacks while Friday nights will welcome DJs from Soho’s famous record store Sister Ray Records.

Opening at 5pm each day til 2am Monday to Thursday and 4am Friday and Saturday, The Grace is set to become the best pub in Islington and an invaluable fixture to the late night scene.

George Akins, DHP Family owner, said: “London is well known for its live music pubs which are institutions in their own right. Here at The Grace, we had the perfect opportunity to combine our bar and live music space to create an atmospheric space that can function equally well for after work drinks or post gig partying.”
