SECOND WAVE OF ACTS ANNOUNCED FOR DOT TO DOT!

Self-proclaimed “jovial and energetic people” Augustines have built up a reputation for their intense shows and heavy interaction with the audience.  With sold out headline tours across Europe and America, Augustines’ reputation as a fearsome live band proceeds them.

Joining Augustines is Kosovan-British 20 year old Dua Lipa, who’s sultry dark pop stylings got her recognised by Lana Del Rey’s management when she was just 16.  Championed by Radio 1 as a Future Sound Of 2016 nominee, and breaking chart top 20s all over Europe, Dua Lipa is being talked about for all the right reasons.

Infectious post-punk four piece Spring King from Manchester are making waves all over, and will definitely be one to watch at this years’ festival.  Their track ‘City’ was the first song ever to be played on Apple’s Beats 1; we can see why Zane Lowe loves their energetic, punchy tracks.  Also joining the Dot To Dot party are The Hunna.  Fast becoming one of indie rock’s most exciting prospects, with a massively growing fan-base, high octane singles and a sell-out headline tour, these guys are a must see.

All these and many more will be joining the previously announced artists already making up the bill, these include the anthemic Mystery Jets, Australian indie giants The Temper Trap, beautifully honest balladist Lauren Aquilina, euphoric guitar rock supremoes Sundara Karma and the Dot to Dot debut of NME Awards Best New Artist, Rat Boy.

Dot To Dot booker Anton Lockwood said of this year’s line-up “With this announcement we’re pleased to welcome some exceptional artists to Dot To Dot.  Augustines are long-time friends of DHP, and their heartfelt songs are sure to prompt many a singalong, and perhaps even raise a tear or two.  Dua Lipa is one of the most exciting new talents to emerge in the last few months, her sassy pop-noir, and riveting stage presence is going take her to be a superstar sooner rather than later, so we’re delighted to be able to have her come and play for us.  Of course, as ever with Dot To Dot, we have a list of handpicked new artists, many of which will become your new favourites, so we urge everyone to check them out, and come down to the festival early to enjoy the UK’s finest new music event!”

The second wave announcement also includes: Baba Naga, Baveheaven, Ben Caplan & The Casual Smokers, Blaenavon, Cloves, Day Wave, Diet Cig, Dreller, Eera, Face, Fews, Formation, Girl Friend, Hannah Grace, Haus, Hudson Scott, Into The Ark, John Joseph Brill, Meadowlark, MT Wolf, New Desert Blues, Nimmo, Palace Winter, Pleasure Beach, Raphaella, Reigning Days, RIVRS, Sarah Walk, Sego, Skinny Living, Starling, Stevie Parker, Sway Clarke, Swmrs, Tamu Massif, White Room and Will Joseph Cook.

Previous Dot to Dot line-ups have seen performances from The xx, Ed Sheeran, Mumford and Sons, The 1975, London Grammar, Jake Bugg, SBTKRT, James Bay, The Cribs, Peace and many, many more.  Make sure you keep checking www.dottodotfestival.co.uk for all the latest news and ticket info.
